Nice...How's it sound?
Nice job! Drums sound great! How do you like the Urbann Boards...are those the Donati's? Love mine..I have the Donati's for home and use the Chamber's for gigs.
Since my go to is Wine Red...The Ref, VMX, and Export Select are Wine Red, and the Mid Town is the Red Glitter...I'm thinking something different, so the Satin Grey Sea Glass is probably what I'm...
Thanks...love them all. I have to add my Midtown to that list...and hopefully, in the next few months, a Music City Custom Ref Pure
The only thing I have done is put an Evans HD Dry batter.
One of my buddies puts on annual reunion show with his first band as a charity event and I let him use my drums (VMX with May Internal mics) and my PA rig (x32 Rack, S32 digital Snake, 4 Audix...
The VMX 8, 12, 14, 16 with Ultracast 14x5 snare.
When I go 2 up, 2 down, 1 left, it's usually 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 with a 13 on the left.
I noticed that I have the 12 tuned not far from where I had the 10 sitting, but with the increased depth of...
I usually run 8, 10, 14, 16 in my 2 up, 2 down config, where the traditional norm is 10, 12. Well, I decided to split the difference and go with 8, 12 to see how that works. I only played that...
yea...got the legs off...it was a bear, but yea, I was able to get the legs off...not saying "slipped"...that makes it sounds like the legs slide right off (they do not). It took a combination of...
Unfortunately, no...I didn't think I was gonna be able to do it. But the parts diagram really did help.
I built a PA rack around a Behringer x32 Rack and use a Behringer P-16m mixer for my IEM system (basically a 16 channel mixer that I can mix myself). I use it for my main band. For most other bands...
I removed the legs from my H2000...I used the parts catalog. The tricky part was getting the actual legs off after locating and removing/loosening the 3 or 4 hex screws...a couple are hidden, but...
I'm using a rack-mounted overhead on my live rig using a boom stand (took the legs off)...no issues. I used to have my overheads mounted on my recording rig at my old house, o issues there, either. ...
I love my Midtown. The kit is pretty versatile and should be fine for rehearsals. I got mine originally for acoustic/"stripped down" shows with my band (we do everything from country to hip-hop),...
looking good. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the kit!
LOL...it's really only a problem for my drum tech. I actually like changing the kit up. It's a combination of finding a comfortable set up and changing the stage aesthetic. My band plays almost...
Yep, 22" kick, 8, 10, 14, 16. I've been running without the 12 and 13 for a while now, although the previous config had the traditional 12 after the 10, with a 16" aux kick. I'm thinking of running...
I am well aware that I have a problem...I change my set up alot. This new config will make setting up for gigs pretty easy. Main "highlights"
are the split double-stack rack, remote hat for...
I just did a reconfig of my kit (as I often do) and due to playing more outside gigs on less than perfect stages, I am using my remote hat in the main position (see pic). Does anyone know if there...
Ditto to hipodilski...I use the Protection Racket as my gig rug...love it. Nothing moves, tape stays on, rolls and locks (has a clasp) and can fold. I don't think it is too heavy...I used to use...
Ditto on the protection racket rug...if you can find a Wolfpack drum rug, they are pretty good, too.
My kit (and configurations) range from 2 to 6 toms, depending on the gig, venue, mood, and phase of the moon. With my current gig, I'm typically running with 4 toms. I guess I'm used to playing big...
the crack may be within a lathing groove..had that happen to a china once...and a splash recently
