    Cooperman sticks are usually made from persimmon wood which looks like one pictured or rosewood a reddish colour much heavier stick. They offer stick in either wood. Hope this helps.

    If I recall the "tenor-tymp" was supposed to give the marching drum section an additional "voice". Lower than the tenor drum but higher than the bass drum. They really didn't catch on as I recall.
