Been there, done that!
The drivers get it, especially those who know the area! Totally worth the trip for the photo though...

Its lovely up there indeed! Enjoy the trip southwards towards London! Any planned stops along the way?
Lovely part of the world, hope the weather isn't too bad up there! I got drenched loading out of a theatre show in Edinburgh the other night - classic Scottish weather!
I loved them all! Though for rather obvious reasons, this will always be the one for me... Bog oak baby!

I'm gonna guess thats just really badly tarnished! Its the same 24k gold plating but probably not well kept considering its prototype status!
That kit wound up looking like this...

Amazing stuff Miles!
That floor tom looks like a prototype of what became the R30 kit (with silver pinstripes around the oblongs rather than the red of the final kit, and a lot more sparkle!)
Yeah I suppose its one thing we get a bit easier this side of the pond! Then again you guys get all the sub-$50 70's Ludwig Acrolites which we'd love! Over here thats a £350 drum!
Indeed, the sooner you can change them the better! One of my kits is in Ahead bags, but they're just a bit too big fitting for my liking. I'll swap them over to PR's eventually!
And the AAA...
PR are the best cases, all my hardware, pedal and stool top fits in a 28" bag and its great. Personally I wouldn't buy drum cases that weren't fleece lined! They just look after the shells so much...
Little overhead of the kit on stage last weekend..

Hey Pedro! Fellow UK member here, I'd say get in touch with the guys at Drummers Only (Glasgow/Leeds), they're Pearl dealers and should be able to put that order in for you. I've had nothing but...
Best thing you can do with those stand toppers is whip them off and put Pearl Winglocks on in their place. Much easier and great for road use.
You chaps flatter me! Was a good few shows up there, taking the show to the south this week, and back to my usual percussion home rather than behind the kit on this run. Keeps me on my toes!
Back out on the road doing a few theatre dates in Scotland last week...

(As close to birds eye as I can manage - I'm not the tallest ;) )
A snap from last week, subbing on the '80's Live' theatre show over here in the UK.
I'd gotten the call a day before so was sight reading the whole show, all on click. A really fun play though!...
Been a while since I contributed in here! But was doing some recording work the other day and snapped this, Vintage Tama Imperialstar 20, 12, 14, DW Craviotto Snare and a smattering of Zildjian &...
Yup, definitely guilty of that one, and knowing you have too much, but not wanting to part with anything 'incase you then need it'. I don't suppose being a full time musician helps that either (not...
I suppose it depends how tall you are/how high you sit!
Before production started!
As long as they aren't a method actor! That could get dangerous
Great sounding drums though, Guru really knew what they were doing! And nicely blurred pics of my old mate Dave McKeague demoing them!
Yeah its the Nespresso model :)
If thats the case and you have a cheaper snare you don't mind drilling, attach a tom mount to it and you'll be fine.

You wouldn't be able to use a snare basket, you would need a RIMS mount with a 9mm tom mount on it, or alternatively a snare like the Pearl Short Fuse which mounts to a percussion rod. ...
