I picked these up a couple of weeks ago.
70's 3-ply Slingerland 80N chrome over wood "Buddy Rich" set. Not his finish of choice obviously, but I love it.
I won't really get a chance to dig into...
Google a place called "bumwraps". They will do custom wrap.

Austin, Yes sir, I appreciate you posting about those NOS wires.
I'll tell you what.....
You find a Piano Black one, and we'll trade! :D
I really like the big, deep snare. It fits really well...
I appreciate the heads-up on the snares. I made one from a Puresound snare that is the same length, and it works great.
I will probably just hold on to these originals to have. My wife says I'm a...
Austin-Fitz,
Thanks for the heads up, I got them!
Thanks,
Steve
Where did you find them, I could use them for my snare.
Steve
Thanks guys. It looks pretty cool, but don't know if it's $300 cool to me.
If there is anyone interested, I could check them out and assist with shipping.
Steve
Can anyone tell me what year these are and what the shells the drums in the link below might be?
Thanks,
Steve

Mid to late 70's. It has the 1st generation of the 3/4" tube tom holders and the 1st generation bass spurs.
Nice looking kit!
I have the matching snare.

You could look at these and see if they would work. I believe these are a match for the older spurs.

Found an 18X16 locally!
Recovered and at home with the rest of the kit. I still need to install the badge.
I also order lug gaskets from Jammin' Sam, so I'll get them on the rest of the drums....
The copper PureSound plate is really easy to drill thru. I started with a 1/16" bit and worked my way up to whatever size fit the Pearl metric screw.
Sorry, I didn't pay attention to where I ended,...
Thank you sir!
I think that about sums it up.

Probably the way the big band folks felt during the original rock-n-roll in the 50's & 60's. I know my dad hated rock and would get up on Sunday mornings and torture us with Benny Goodman, Frank...
Thanks!
I need to take a head off and tighten the parallel rod nut. It's not quite bringing the butt-side up and I think it's slipping.
Steve
He's not a drummer, and didn't measure anything. He got them from somebody and took their word. I was kind of pissed when it arrived, I could tell from the box it wasn't an 18X16. I kept it, he...

Still need to grab the ride and the spashes from the case in the basement.
I think I may have found an actual 18X16!!!!
And I think I may need this throne.

Thanks,
I found a set.
Thanks everybody.

OK Guys,
I may have a fix for S-017 snare wires!
This uses a single PureSound Vintage Series Slingerland Radio King Clam Shell Snare Wire, 16 Strand, 14 Inch.
I know this is a single unit, and it...
MattKeaton,
Exports used a similar bracket, but the wing bolt is threaded into the bracket and pushes on the leg to hold it in place. I think that was part # LB-15, I don't have a catalog downloaded...
Anyone have 3 LB-20's they would like to get rid of?
I'm looking to convert the 16X14 hanging tom (that was supposed to be an 18X16 floor tom) into a floor tom.If so, please let me know.
Thanks,...
3PK,
I tried to use the Gibraltar snares.
I may give it a go again this weekend. The Radio King snares are on back order, after it said they were in stock.
So far, it hasn't been a great week.....
