Man, I am having flashbacks to my first forays on the web.
Remember this?
The Pearl mount is not the most beautiful, but it is very functional.
I always enjoyed reading his stories on his web site covering his travels from concert to concert, and just life in general.
If you haven't before, check them out.

Heck, I'm still working on stuff from Ringo and Charlie Watts!
I love that finish on those drums.
Nice selection of cymbals too.
Wow!
After purchasing my set over a year ago, I have finally found an acrylic snare to go with the kit, The snare is a Pork Pie "Pig-Lite".
My set now feels complete.
PDP has the Chad Smith acrylic snare that sells for around $259.00. Or you can get a DW design acrylic snare for under $300.00.
For my drum room I carpeted the floor, walls and ceiling. It really made a big difference.
I still use the 21" Zildjian ride and 14" high hats that I purchased back in 1976, so I guess I am slow to change too.
Although I did buy a trashformer cymbal a few years ago, so all is not lost.
Me back in 1982.
Just add 30 lbs, take away a lot of the hair, put me behind a 4 piece set and you have me in 2021. :D
I would say $400 to $500 USD, at most.
Perhaps it's a wood alloy. :D
I go in phases with thinking I need new drums.
Lately I haven't been in that phase. I am sure that it will change in the future.
In my world the only good use for a car is as a drum hauler.
Nice set. I really like that finish.
For me I have always found that getting a new drum set is more exciting than getting a new car!
My favorite room in the house!
Nice set. I love the green sparkle finish.
What is the finish called on the snare? It looks like some type of blue oyster.
Nice collection of drum sets.
I love drums sets with lots of toms.
I purchased a used set of Crystal Beat drums earlier this year, and I was wondering if there is anyway that you can tell the year of manufacture. I don't see any serial numbers, etc on them.
Super sharp!
In response to the above questions, here are the specs on my sets.
The Ludwig classic maple set was purchased new in 2011 (I actually ordered it at the end of 2010). The finish is a cherry stain,...
I currently own 3 drum sets, a Ludwig Classic Maple, a Pearl Crystal Beat and a Stone Custom set.
Yeah, I have two other sets that I don’t have set up at the moment, so I set up everything with the one set just for fun.
I just purchased a used Crystal Beat set (12, 16 & 22) in Clear. To add some color to it I have installed Evans blue hydraulics, except for the bass drum resonant head, which is a Remo colortone.
