awesome, all you need is a 2nd floor tom
hahahaahah, yeah, but they do look kick ***
does anyone here have any experience with aquarian heads?
I am pretty sure the stage customs are made in the same facility that builds the Live Customs and the Absolute Hybrid kits
Nice Pic! Even the snare drum with the kit is decent. I will be adding the 14" floor tom down the road and possibly the 8 and the 13
Here it is as a little practice rig
The satin coco was my 1st choice but Shane didn't have one in stock when I went to buy these. I was initially going to get the black and as he was ringing up the sale I saw the Inca gold kit and...
Thanks man, it's a practice kit but it sounds good
Setting em up as we speak!
It might bring the Gretsch offshore products to be on par with their USA shop which has a good quality record. The Stage customs are made in China, but it's not some nameless/faceless factory that...
Beautiful kit, now please remove the laundry from your kick drums, why would you spend good money on drums that are designed to resonate only to muffle them to death?
Apart from which kit is worth more in resale, which kit would you rather sit behind and play? It doesn't matter how much a kit is "worth" if you don't feel it when you are playing it. I traded...
I was torn between raven black, natural and honey amber. Went with the Amber this time. I may get another one down the road for my Church and take home my oak customs, I may do natural for that.
I would like to see the renown kits become an American made kit. I just traded my renown walnut for a new Yamaha stage custom birch kit. The renown looked really nice, but the kick drum was a dog...
The 1st gen kits (mahogany/falkata/birch) shells were the bomb! I had one too from 2004, I never should have sold that one. Then I got a 1st gen all birch kit and the kick drum didn't have...
I would love to see pics of that, how does it sound with black dot heads? I have those on my Pearl Crystal beat kit and I love the sound of them
Agreed, the kick sounds great! I just have the stock heads on too, once I put remos on there it will sound even better
This, while I love the sound of a DW drum, when you pick up a Pearl and look at it, you can tell right away that the build quality is 100% spot on. Pearl shells are bombproof and their edgework...
Nothing better than the sound of ancient oak, aged for centuries. It's like buying a brand new vintage instrument.
I had a set of the 1st generation birch kit before they got the bugs out of the kick drum. The new stage customs are the best bang for buck out there.
these drums tune right up....
Come on man.... don't diss me
