Thanks! Are the VBs all birch? I think it was somewhere on this forum that I saw that the VBLs were 100% birch, but that the VBs were birch/basswood. I can't seem to find the thread, though. Either...

I tried a google image search for the Mirror vs. Polished Chrome, and couldn't really tell. They both looked the same to me. No worries on the bass drum. :)

I thought that, too, but you can special order them through drumsonsale.com, as well as MusiciansFriend and GuitarCenter. I think they're made to order. The only down side is the wait is 4-6 months....
