    The holes are filled with dowels and PVA glue, trimmed flush on the outside, but not to fussed to trim the inside.
    The “wrap” isn’t perfect,but it’s also not terrible/a disaster...

    Is there another small badge on each drum? eg "Maple"

    They look like 8 ply shells to me, so more likely to be 1980-82 as you have...
