Sonors really arent underrated. Whenever they're actually talked about you rarely hear anything but rave reviews. Some call them too pricey and/or overengineered, but that's about it.
what a tread idea !
erm id say preimer and ludwig ....
but because i hear so much trash about ocdp .... i vote them above ...
but please i dont wanna start a war over it ...
Phattie.
Premier and Taye for sure.
All custom companies use Keller shells. I really don't think one can be underrated, considering there are hundreds and hundreds of custom companies that no one has heard of.
They do not sound bad at all, I played an SJC before and the Keller shells sound fantastic. I'm just saying a custom company can't be underrated since they ALL use the same shells.
premeir, ludwig, and taye,
I'd say Taye and RMV. Both great drums for good prices..... but most new American drummers buy Pearl Exports when starting out. I'm sure it has a lot to do with what the stores are carrying. Lot's of parents aren't going to do any research when buying their kid a kit. They will go to the closest store to the house, and get the cheapest "big name" kit they can...... usually results in an Export kit, with ZBTs.
I don't know how many times I've played gigs, and I was setting up my BLX kit, with top of the line Zidjians, and the kid in the next band with the Export/ZBT combo says, HEY, WE HAVE THE SAME KIT!

Oh yeah, defin RMV wayyyy up there.
I think Sonor makes a great product. They'd not underrated, just a little more pricey and thus they don't do that well over here.
Premier is a good company too, but I can't stand their hardware which pulled that one on the list.
Sonor
