Unfortunately the wheels came off of the Blackhawks postseason rather abruptly, and the Bulls who just barely made the playoffs have their hands full with the Celtics. Tomorrow night we get to find out what our Bears are going to do with the third overall pick in this years NFL draft.

Alex, can you believe it? The Cubs are the 2016 World Series Champions! I'm sorry that I've hadn't had the chance to write to you sooner, but this past week has been like some kind of magical dream! Talk about a storybook/Hollywood ending to an absolutely amazing season. Game 7 was just unbelievable! What an crazy roller-coaster of emotions! How about extra innings and a 20 min rain delay! We go up by 2, but they cut it back to 1 and are threatening to take the lead! The last 3 outs were gut wrenching to sit through, but glory hallelujah the Cubs did it! They finally broke that blasted curse! I don't know if you had a chance to see any of the parade/celebration on WGN America, but the City of Chicago estimated the crowd to be somewhere around 5 million people! It's needless to say that our spirits have been flying very high around here the past week! I know that you have had as much fun as I've had watching this magical and historic Cubs season!

Cubs have been great this year. I was glad I got to catch a game at Wrigley over the summer. Hoping the Bears will show some life tonight against the Eagles, we'll see...

The second half of last Sunday's Bears game was terrible! You're right, something has got to change or we'll be scrapping the bottom of the barrel of the NFC North. Hopefully, Monday night's game against Philly here at Soldier Field will have a better outcome.

The Cubbies clinched the division last night! Although, it was somewhat anti-climatic because we lost to the Brewers, but the Cardinals lost to the Giants. On the plus side, we beat the Brewers today in extra innings with a interesting/unusual Maddon lineup. Go Cubs, GoBears!

Hey Alex, I think that I had the same thing happen to my PDF account on my home computer like you did the last day or so. When I tried to log into the PDF a vBulletin message would appear saying that my IP address has been banned! Now, I knew it wasn't something that I said or did on the forum, so I figured that it must have been a glitch of some sort. LOL!

The Bears have their final preseason game tonight, but none of the starters are scheduled to play. Man, I hope that they are playing "possum" this preseason, because they haven't looked too sharp so far. The Cubs start a 4 game series against the Giants tonight, and our magic number is down to 16! Go Cubbies, Go Bears!

How is that BRP still treating you? I play mine most days per week and still love it.

From what we've seen so far, I'm impressed with the additions to the O-Line. I believe that Cutler has only been sacked once in the past two games.
I wish that they were able to keep Urlacher around for one more season too. However, I'm glad that he retired as a Bear. I don't think I could get used to seeing him in another team's uniform.

You're right about the upcoming game against the desperate Steelers. If the Bears get a win in Pittsburgh, I think that a 10-6 record is very possible. Go Bears!
