  1. Hi there. It can be a slow process depending on the condition of the drums. I will always start by using a Detailing product to clean the shells, If the shells are lacquered then hunt for scratches & use 1200 Wet & dry then 2000 to finely sand them out. Deeper scratched require more work & possibly lacquer filling. I will then power polish (Mop) the whole shell with a fine cutting paste 3M is the best. Will then use Meguires Gold Class Cranuba Wax then finally Gtechniq G1 Ceramic sealant.
    Hope this helps.
    Kind regards, Kevin

    Good evening,
I have seen alot of your post of the kits you buy and clean up to sell. I just came across a couple kits that need some care to make look better I was wondering if you could share some of your cleaning and restoring process. Do you just wipe down, polish, wax, buff, wet sand? I live in the states and with all of the staying home we have I find the time to start the process. I have one kit that has some clear-coat issues and I assume I will need to either fill some of the scratches and wet sand and buff out but wanted to ask someone like yourself that has done this for a while. Any information, guidance and help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank You
    Mike
