Hey Lonny, It's always a pleasure to hear from you!
Why thanks I would love a bowl of chili, as long as it's of the mild variety. LOL. (With my bouts of acid reflux, I can't handle the strong stuff.) As far as it being chilly around these parts we hit 45° here today, but that Polar Vortex that rolled through here a few weeks ago was downright brutal. We had wind chills that were -45°, and that system sat over us for three days straight. I've read that things have been moving along quite nicely with your band, and that you bought some new PA speakers. Sounds like you guys are getting closer to playing some gigs. By the way, I never got the chance to thank your Raiders for the Khalil Mack trade this past NFL season. He was an incredible addition and made an immediate impact to the Bears defense. The Bears were rolling right along till our kicker double-doinked our post-season and Super Bowl dreams away. Well, time to look forward to my Cubbies and the beautiful warmth of summer.

Well Lonny, I'm sorry that your Dodgers didn't win it all tonight. They had a heck of a season, and fought hard to take the World Series to a decisive game 7. I say let's do it again next year! Cubs and Dodgers in a third straight NLCS match up!

Ah Lonny, this past week has felt like we were all awash in some kind of wonderful dream. We've waited so long that it still taking a bit of time for it to settle in. The amazing realization that the Cubs are the 2016 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS! I don't know if you got to see on WGN America any of the parade/celebration that the City of Chicago held for the Cubs last Friday? The city estimated the crowds along the parade route and at Grant Park to be somewhere around 5 million people! We didn't mind just watching the all-day celebration on TV from the comfort of our living room. Spirits are running so high here in Chicago, and I tell you it truly is a magical feeling. It's the same way you must of felt when your Dodgers had won the WS! I know that your Raiders are playing the dastardly Broncos on Sunday Night Football tonight. I hope you guys crush 'em! Go Raiders!

Holy cow Lonny! The can-do Cubbies winning big tonight, forcing a game 7 in the World Series! They just need to win one more game, that's all we're asking for. Man, you can feel the energy here in Chi-town! The Bears win was a very nice, albeit unexpected, way to start the week. Your Raiders are rocking n' rolling out west! Great pics of your Halloween gig! Thanks Lonny! Holy cow, your Dodgers gave us quite a series for the NL pennant! I'm still riding the high that washed over us Cub fans from Saturday night. As I'm sure you know, the Cubs haven't been to the World Series since 1945 (71 years!) and haven't won the World Series since 1908 (108 years!). Just being able to say that the Cubs are in the WS is HUGE to those of us that have been life-long fans during this historic drought. Man, we are hoping and praying that this is finally the year. Go Cubs Go!

Hey Lonny! Can you believe it? Your Dodgers and my Cubs are going head to head in the NLCS! How many years have we talked about how cool it would be to have both of our teams playing in the championship series with a chance to go to the World Series. Wow, this is amazing! Wow, another close game yesterday! The Cubs just didn't have enough yesterday to come from behind and tie the game up. With each team 1-1, today's game should be a good one.

Sorry to hear that the gig didn't go as smoothly as could have, but this was the new band's first gig. I'm sure that with the lessons learned form the first one, the second OR's gig will go off with out a hitch. Or, a least without a crick in your back!
