I didn't know that was a 20" bassdrum. It looks like a 22" but you bought heads and know. I like the Walnut and Merlott.

Would matching wood hoops be too expensive? I'd get them while you're working the kit.

Redwood, Natural Maple, Mahogany would look good!

I bet a Walnut Stain on first and then lots of clear coats would look better. Poplar is very light. jmho

That's what I have to play. It's the original Yamaha DTX. Now they are on DTX960 or something. I can still play it and it saves band practice (we are all virtual). They plug into a console and then into the Jam Hub; and we each plug our mic's into the Jam Hub. No earphones; no sound. With ear phones it sounds like what we are playing; like we were plugged in!
