Hey Ron, I haven't heard from you for a while. I sent you two friendship requests and haven't heard back. Any news on the move to Florida. Did you contact Paul from the group whose song list I sent you? Did I give you his phone number? I don't remember. I'm getting old.

Did you get the song list? The group's main singer is male, yet he likes playing stuff from female singers. The group has two guitars, bass, keyboard and sax. The sax player likes to play lead on everything and has conflicts with the guitar players. No different from anynother group. They can't seem to hang on to drummers. Keep me posted as to your move.

A guy requested "Inna Godda Da Vitta" at my gig on new years eve. The band didn't know how to play it and we didn't have a keyboard with us anyway. To humor the guy I played some highlights from the solo off the cuff. He was thrilled I even knew what he was talking about let alone played some of the licks verbatim. I would have to listen to it more than a few times to re-memorize it. It might even take money to motivate me as well.
Right now I'm concentrating on my new band which I'm really please about. Perhaps the best assembly of players I've ever been with. I'm using my MLX kit at our house gig and for one nighters my EXRs will be very cool. I need to be content with what I have. If, in a year or so I can off the MLX kit in favor of one of these new fangled MCX kits I'll do 'er. Meantime, it's full steam ahead.

Sure, I'm thinking about those kits but I have more pressing financial concerns right now, i.e. getting a job, moving out on my own, fixing my car, new bass drum batters on both of my current kits, etc.
I do play "Wipe Out" upon request. It's been a staple with me ever since I started playing out in bands in 1965 when I was 11. The last time I fulfilled a "Wipeout" request was during rehearsal before we played our final Christmas show at the theater on December 18th of last year (2010). One of the parents asked if I could play it and the band fell right in with me. The guy was delighted with my performance.

Can you play "Inna Godda Da Vitta?" Better than being asked to play "Wipe Out." Of course I know both too. lol!!!!!!!!!!
Are you still thinking about the Mocha Tamo or the Quilted Bubinga; or maybe still the Vintage Wine?

NAMM is less fun when you're broke. I need a Roadster with a Butt Kicker! LOL!

Hey Ron. I'm doing a project for school and I have to interview somebody who's over 50 years of age about their teen years. So I thought I would interview you. I sent you the questions in your PM Box. Thanks! Mitch
