I consider ministry an essential part of my life, so I am considering attending Calvary Chapel Bible College here in my town.
Right now I serve in a youth group dedicated to helping kids 13-20ish through various hurts, habits, and hang-ups like drugs, alcohol, various kinds of abuse, and other issues that I experienced myself. I have really seen how openly sharing the experiences we have can seriously impact others when we are willing to learn and grow from them together.

That's why I hold teachers in high regard; Giving of yourself, your wisdom, knowledge, and dedicating yourself to benefit others is one of the highest honors and gifts to mankind.
Teaching music is awesome and impacts so many lives. It seems that through music life can be expressed in such a freeing way. That is one reason why I love Jazz so much, the open expression, collaboration, and musical conversation bridges all gaps and speaks on so many levels.

What a cool job! Congrats, way to pick a fun path and tread down the road. Always nice to get paid gigs too! Do you have any music online that I could check out?

I am a department manager in drums at a California Guitar Center...lol...Not a bad job, but not my career choice. I don't think I am really cut out for sales. I really need to get myself in gear and go back to school, work hard and do something more gratifying and profitable. I know though that money is not going to satisfy like purpose, passion, and dedication to people will, but I am getting married, so something has to give. :-)

Right about the same amount of time, a little less with some scattered years without a kit. I need a lot of work right now for sure!! Lol. Rudiments were never my strong suit, so I need to buckle down and get to work on those chops. But I still love it. Truly the one time when I feel free, headphones on, or jamming with some one who clicks well with me, and nothing is better except true love...I just have to get her a piano and then we're golden!! Haha! Music is definitely a gift from God.

What styles do you like to listen to and/or play? I love most, wish I could play more, and would have loved to be talented at piano. I still want to try that.
Do you play any other instruments?
