Hello everyone thought i would introduce myself. my name is Steven i have been playing drums for quite a while. i have performed in a few bands one of which was called Fallen Heroes where we recorded our own demo. after that i performed in a couple cover bands and playing live gigs. for a while i explored other hobbies, and just recently i just got back into drumming. its been quite a workout getting back into shape lol. my current drum set is a Pearl Vision Concord Fade 20 kick, 10, 12, rack toms 14 floor tom. currently sporting Paiste PST 7 14, hi-hat, 16 crash, 18 crash, 18 heavy crash, and 20 ride. will be upgrading the cymbals soon but these ones sound amazing too. all drums have Remo Pinstripe batter heads and Ambassador resonant heads. the snare has Controlled Sound batter and Hazy side heads. to top it off i got a set of Aquarian studio rings. i love them and been playing them alot. im using PDP hardware with the 502 double bass pedal. anyway just thought i would introduce myself. heres are some pictures of my setup

thanks everyone, happy to be here. anyone know when the first revision of these drums came out? based on the info i found in another thread and the info on my drums i have an early model dated late 2007 and late 2008. the 10 tom and 14 floor tom made in Oct 2008 (0-2 B,E). the 12 tom, 20 bass, and snare made in Dec 2007 (0-1 B,G). is this still a 1st gen Vision set?

i upgraded the cymbals. i planned on going with Paiste PST-8 but i found a deal on these Zildjian A's and gave them a shot. i fell in love with them. love the bright sound and they cut through anything. i have made the switch

i was able to dig this picture out from my past when i was in the recording studio. my kit of choice was a Pearl Export EXR in Strata White. if anyone is interested, you can search Youtube for the songs Fallen Heroes Dark Room, Open your Eyes, Rock and Roll America. also can find some covers i did on an electric kit.

“first revision” ??? How about first version? Just busting ya. Nice drums and cymbals. If you happen to need a complete set of cymbals and are happy with what comes in the set, the packs are the way to go. I bought a pack of the K Custom Dark in December.

Export series drums were in my humble opinion the best entry/intermediate drums for their price range and the best sounding when tuned right with 2ply heads. I just got a NOS Vision VSX in Strata Black for under $600 a 4pc shell pack 22,12,13,16

well after a major purchase i sold my Pearl sets to Guitar Center and my current kit is a Ludwig Element Birch with a Supraphonic snare which i am really having fun with. don't worry i didn't completely abandon Pearl and i never will. i just had my Session Studio Classic delivered which will serve as i kit i use for recording. the Ludwig is nice but i will always play Pearl
