Nice kit and a great finish, what are the specs?

8,10,12.14 toms, 14,16,18 floors 22 bass, Ludwig Superphonic, misc LP percussion to include timbales, cowbells, blocks, tamb block, bell and chimes. Zildjian Cymbals, 8,10,12 "A" splashes, 14 Oriental China Trash, 16,17,18 "A" medium thin crashes, 21 "K" Custom Special Dry Ride and Wuhan 18 and 20 "trashy" china's with riviets.

Thanks RushDrums, Eric and Matt! Unfortunately, I have no equipment to record with! This set is extremely rewarding to play although I would never gig with it for obvious reasons. I think Pearl really did well with these vision series drums and I'm glad I purchased the various sizes while they were still available! The 18" Floor Tom is absolutely awesome! The sound is thunderous! Here is a pic of my drum set I use with my band! It puts out a nice sound and is easy to haul around! I put die cast rims on the snare and opti mount on tom. Big difference in sound and the snare is so much better with the die cast rims as compared to the old 1.6 rims.

It's not obvious to me. Why wouldn't you gig with your Vision kit? Is the kit too large?

These look like a totally pro set. The "Decade Maple" looks like an entry level set IMO.

Definitely a mistake from my point of view. I assume it was a marketing/sales led decision, rather than driven by people like you and me.

Matt...hahaha...exactly! Too old to lug around a big kit! Could you imagine gigging with your Tama's? Heck, I wouldn't want those beautiful drums to even leave the house!

CZX Agree! But I do believe the Decades are pretty nice although I wish they would put 8 lugs on a 16" floor tom!
