  • MLX/BLX Forum Section?

Hello fellow Pearl drummers. First post here. I was surprised to see Forum,Export, and other series Pearl drum sections on the forum but NO BLX ,GLX,or MLX section. Am i in the right section under "Vintage drums" or did i miss something?

Did you have a question (other than "Am I in the right section?")

You could possibly post in the Masters Section, but that gets about as little attention as this "Vintage" section. Most posts run through the "General Drum Set Discussion" or "Show Us Your Kits" section. Were you looking to identify something, or just put up some pics?

Either way, welcome to the Forum.

First off, welcome to the PDF!

Second, we'd love to have you post your kit in the Masters Section. We've always considered the BLX, MLX, and GLX Series as the precursor to the Masters Series, so no worries there.

Paul, I've always loved the color of your Sheer Blue Faust Music MLX kit!
That was a true beaut of a find, and it sounded great in person too!

Thx Kevin. Faust Music for over 50 years was the place to get drum gear in Milwaukee. The owner was a character. Bill didn’t like browsers , he asked me if I was going to buy something or walk around his store all day? I bought some cases but never got a chance to go back. He died in 2013 at 83 and shortly after there was a auction held and that kit found its way to a local Musicgoround . I owned it for about 3 years then sold it to a collector. The Original building in Bay View was demolished.

Welcome to the PDF, and the vintage section .
By default, all three series you mention are born in the 80’s, and that makes them vintage IMHO (being 25 or more years old).

Sure throw your kit up in Masters, show us your kit, and vintage if you want.

There is an extensive MLX and BLX thread here in the vintage section somewhere, and hard searching will find GLX threads too.

If you have any questions, ask away...
