Lol, no before pics?! Rookie mistake, dude!

        Jk.

Your guy does a great job on those... I wonder what would happen if he buffed a K Custom Special Dry cymbal?

Just imagine a used cymbal, not abused, from Guitar Center or Sam Ash, with your normal tarnish and patina. Nothing too bad, just used.

I already know the answer to the question of buffing non-brilliant cymbals. He won't do them anymore, because they are too much work. His buffing process is not as sophisticated as what the cymbal companies have. He just uses a drill press, with a large buffing wheel, and finesse. He buffed a bunch of Ks with traditional finish. The splash and hats were no problem, but as soon as he got to the larger crashes, 16" and 17", the process became overly laborious. It took him over an hour to do the 17" crash, when, typical brilliant finish cymbals that just need a touch-up, take 5-7 minutes. I promised him, "no more traditional finish or unfinished cymbals". In the case of unfinished cymbals like the Special Dry, or Sabian Fusion Bottom Hat, or Raw Bells, etc., they end up basically like they looked before. They need sanding and or lathing to turn into a brilliant finish.

No. I’ve tried a couple different products that were recommended to me, but they never helped the cymbals stay bright and shiny... tarnish just happens. It’s easy to clean them when they are buffed so brilliantly, and you don’t have to worry about working around logos. It only takes me maybe 5 minutes per cymbal, once I get on a roll.
