    first kick at the can

Well I have done enough hoarding lately, so decided to to start a rewrap job. this is a Tama royal star 13''. the old wrap was cracked and just total fubared . i found the wrap dirt cheap at a fabric outlet..... its won't be everyones taste but i think it suits a Tama kit very well. Thanks to Barjack for lots of good general info and instructions in his threads and Heathies suggestion of using a soldering iron to burn out the hole was priceless. altogether the drum took about a hour........ easy....... and my girl got wps when she saw it and was like your the man!eeeeeehhhaaa
altogether i am pretty pleased and can't wait to get her all done

Love em. I would really like to do a crock skin wrap.

These started life as a black Tama swingstar. The wrap was premade to fit to my specs by, I forgotten who.

I just used a vinyl glue and slapped them on, polished all the hardware, threw some evans G2 clears and an emad and they rumble.

Nice work guys! I think that taking an old ugly kit and breathing new life into it by rewrapping or refinishing is a great thing to do.
