It'd be better to raz Quint in a thread he's posting in.

So how the hell did you manage to get those badges off without creasing or bending them?

Some had a crease or bent just a little but a took a hammer and a paperback book and LIGHLY hit them out. Cheers bud if you have any other questions let me know.

                        Robbie,
Ever tried a heat gun and an old thin guitar string (using a sawing action) under the badge?

On my 14" tom I used dental floss and a sawing motion. This took quite a while, but the badges came off fairly cleanly. I didn't give any thought to heat...or at least, I don't think I did Next time heat will be tried, for sure.

Heat will help tens times better. I used a blow dryer.

best thing to use is a high E string off a guitar and a heat gun...glue loosens up and the badges come off easily...slide that E string under the edge and use a sawing motion and it comes off in no time...flat, unhurt and reusable with some new 3M adhesive tape...Nice work on the refinish, almost looks like the Pearl stock color of Wine Red.
My wife says I am no longer permitted to buy any more drums...I said okay you cant buy any more shoes...we are presently at an impasse! I see drums...she sees shoes!
