Very nice. I'm also a fan of the logo heads.

for me it's welcomed here too! There are lots of non-Pearl sets here in the Forum and I always felt very comfortable with this...

Spliff - are these Superstars (sorry, although I grew up in the time of the Tama Superstar I'm not so familiar with these)?

Once in the mid eighties I walked to a shop in the next big town from my home and they had a huge Superstar in natural birch with fyberskins on it as batters and Charly Antolini was giving a workshop out in the street... I remember that the sound of that Superstar was so superb - if I could collect drumsets (more than I do) a Superstar (beside a 9000 Recording) would be on my shopping list for sure! These drums are great!

Edit: forgot to mention that I'm a huge fan of your carpet too!

                    Thanks guys!

Yup, I had to add the logos to the Aquarian Regulator Reso heads. I usually don't like logos much but it screamed for it.

...and yes Oliver, they are indeed Superstars from '85 or '86. Probably '86, according to the first owner. These are in great condition, too. No blemishes at all in the paint, so far. I did have to replace 2 bass hoops. Just bought a matching 8 x 14 Artwood Birch in piano white to go with it, the one that's in the pics is piano black. The other snare drum is a 6 x 14 Tama Superstar 'Gibraltar' model Heavy Birch 14-ply, 18 mm with a black sparkle finish.

The different heads are the same actually, their just reversed so the ports would be equal. That kit is just plain FIRE, BEASTLY, raw metal power dude. Sexy and clean, love that kit!

Damn that kit is nice too, except for the resonant bass heads!
