  • Slipping pedals...

    Hi

I use a set of Ludwig WFLs. They make a great sound, however they are all also blessed with chronic pedal slipping issues at both high and low extremes. Each drum has a range of only about a major 3rd. Everything appers to be good with the mechanisms, it's even stumped a pretty good tech.

Any wisdom out there? My feet are getting sore holding pitch!

    cheers

    Andy

Time for new heads. Change them with something that has steel insert rings. Also, if the drums are very old the spring may have compressed and lost a lot of it's ability to counter the tension of the head.
