    The Donati is way too open for my tastes with the stock Ambassadors. I think the Emperor batter might just be the perfect combo.

    would you just mind specifying who EC is? maybe eric chambers? just kidding man. i prefer the OH better.

    Right now I'm experimenting with an ST Dry batter, Ambassador reso with the batter tighter than the reso. Thanks to the rounded bearing edge, there still a nice open ring even with the ST Dry - gotta love that.

    Next up is a PCRD followed by an Emperor.

    that snare is amazing.... the crack you get out of it is beyond belief. It's a combination of birch and maple plies and has a extra deep snare bed for good sensitivity. It's really versitile and when you lay into it, it really sounds good. i think it's goin for like $300 or so....

    i've beeen eager to try this one but none of the drum shops around here have it Did any one try it yet? I noticed in the ads for it they mentioned it was versatile do you guys think it is? how much does this bad boy run?
