i'd say the st. dry would give it a good depth and sound but if i were you, i'd stay with the ambassador snare side and the coated ambassador batter

i think they sound great...for a wood snare they have a lot of crack

that snare is amazing.... the crack you get out of it is beyond belief. It's a combination of birch and maple plies and has a extra deep snare bed for good sensitivity. It's really versitile and when you lay into it, it really sounds good. i think it's goin for like $300 or so....
