Brass Piccolo

How does the Pearl Brass Piccolo sound...i know everyone will tell me to go try it, but there arent very many big music stores around.

Are the maple or steel piccolos better?

Have to try them in person, that is the only option to tell yourself. None of us know exactly what your ears like.

A Pearl Brass piccolo will definitely have brilliance to it and will really project when cranked. But like TempesT68 said, nothing beats trying them out in person and seeing exactly what they sound like in person. I have a Pearl Brass Free Floater on my set and she has a beautiful sound, very brilliant and very cutting.

When it comes to maple and steel though, I'm not too sure how they sound. Hope this helps, and good luck choosing!
