What is this snare?

Could any Pearl experts identify this one? I know nothing about it except for the photo itself. Is it a Sensitone? Steel? Brass? Which year was it offered?

After digging through ADman2B's monster thread, I found this one. Looks the same except for the badge.

It is the left over shell from the Chad Smith Sig. Snare.

Depends on what part of the world you live in, but they also put a universal badge on some of them.

I have the same snare but swapped all the hardware out…

I think the Universal was from Japan or Taiwan and the Limited Edition was from Europe.

Thanks for checking out my snares! I don't know exactly what this is, and I'm pretty sure it is not something that was ever offered in the US, but what Josh says makes sense to me.

I found it on Reverb and bought it to use it as a parts donor, inspired by Josh (Tasty).

I need the brass lug inserts and the stainless steel screws, and getting a whole snare is alot cheaper than buying them separately.

Waiting for it to arrive.
