My bad!! the inside shot was a DW 10/6 Collectors snare!! the birch has no re-rings! I'll edit and get the correct photo up.

Excellent find Rick! Did you purchase it from Rufus Drum Shop in Vancouver BC ? I just bought a Master Studio 14x5 in Wine Red 6 ply.I will post pics when it arrives.

That makes so much more sense. I spent way to much time thinking about why that drum had re-rings. Based on everything else, it should have been the 10 ply birch, but the inside was a thin shell with rerings. I was digging around trying to find a Euro-exclusive that matched, but nothing. I can sleep easy knowing that this isn't some kind of anomaly. lol
