Pearl 14201 Snare Wires

The kit is sounding fine. New snare wires come today. If the Pearl wires don't work, I'll go back to Puresound Blasters.

The new Pearl wires came and they sound fine. Now I know why I don't use Puresound anymore. The Pearl 14201 Ultra wires really are excellent.

You can try adjusting the four tension rods on either
side of the wires. Or you can slip something under the
end of the wires like a small card or cardboard piece.

I took the wires off yesterday and pulled them slightly and they are stretched out. They are the supposed to be the even tension wires, but many are vibrating different. I ordered new Pearl 14201 Ultra snares, the same that are on there now. We'll see if they work properly.

Recently, around three or four month's ago I put the original Pearl 14201 Snare Wires that came with my Pearl Black Brass Sensitone 14x5 snare. These wires sounded better than any I have used, but they started to have a ring/buzz sound after the snares stopped. I found out that if I put light pressure on the end plate closest to the strainer it completely goes away. Any suggestions on getting it to stop? I will try turning the wires around and maybe using something other than string.
