This drum was available from 2008-2010. It has a 1mm hammered brass shell with all gold plated hardware including Superhoops, CL55 lugs, and SR017 throw-off.

I like this shell with chrome hardware. The contrast really makes the shell hammering POP! It has Pearl tube lugs, Fat Tone hoops, and the Click-Lock strainer.

I like yours better with the chrome hardware too. The SR-150 strainer is a nice touch too.

I just wish this shell didn't have the big badge screwed into it.

This drum was available from 1996-1999. It has a 6-ply (7.5mm) maple shell. In 1998 the throw-off changed from SR016 to SR018 and the lugs changed from RL05 to CL05. This is the earlier version with SR016 throw-off and RL05 lugs in addition to the Diecast hoops. After this snare was discontinued in 1999, a very similar drum was added to the Piccolo series without JR's name and with triple-flanged hoops as the M1440 and stayed in the line through 2013.

I like the custom finish on this one.

I think the undoing of some of these 10" and 12" snares was Pearl's choice of the "Liquid Amber" color. They should have stuck with their usual course of doing these in black or natural finishes for stock items (as they have done with the Modern Utility series). I suppose the 10" and 12" chrome and black Firecracker snares outsold these as well.

This drum was released with the Reference series in 2005. It has a 20-ply (25mm) mixed shell composed of 6 inner plies of birch and 14 outer plies of maple. The hardware includes Mastercast Hoops, 6 BRL65 Reference lugs, and an SR1000 Glide Lock throw off.

Doing fine! I haven't added to this thread in about 6 months. I hit a really busy time at work and didn't have enough free time for cataloging drums. Then when time freed up, I was out of the groove. I'm going to try to get the rest of these drums posted. Only a couple dozen snares to go until I'm caught up!

Pearl SF1465 14x6.5 Steve Ferrone Signature Snare Drum

The Steve Ferrone signature snare drum was available from 1999-2005. The shell is black nickel-plated brass. It has gold SuperHoops and a unique version of the TB65 tube lugs with gold posts and chrome tubes. Similarly the SR017 throw-off is mostly chrome but with gold tension knob and screws.

By far, the best looking drum Pearl’s ever made!
