    Why would it not?

I hate that the majority of snares only adjust from the one side. It'd be a lot easier to center the snares when you can get it basically there and then make a slight adjustment from either side.

Not sure how that's not obvious. Or maybe you always get the butt end right where you want it the first time. I surely don't.

Still, with all of my years playing, I find centering the snares a pain. Duel adjustments would definitely make it easier.

It would have been nice to have the SRL-150 strainer on that one too.
I wonder if that eats at Portnoy being both have put the DT logo prominently on their drums at one point.

I've never had a problem with it.

I suppose most manufacturers don't use dual adjustments because there's no obvious benefit.

            Exactly.

They absolutely do. I find that players and builders who dismiss this feature either haven't spent enough time thinking about it, or are too lazy to design their version of the dual-adjust strainer. Gretsch, Sonor, Tama, Mapex, and DW all have strainer mechanisms that adjust from both sides. DW's butt is the least adjustable, but it's better than no adjustment at all.

False. Just some of the less thoughtful manufacturers.

I have no problem centering the snare on any of my snare drums.

It's pretty simple to do. I can't imagine why anyone would need two adjustments to do it.

This was the only signature snare I ever purchased (since I have some MW kits in the ES Comet Sparkle finish). However, I eventually sold it to another forum member since I just don't care for signature snare drums. I was never into Eric Singer as a drummer either.

I also didn't think this one sounded much different than the Sensitone Steel snare drums I already had.

Beautiful drum, but I'm glad Pearl has streamlined the badges a little more these days.

I'm usually not a fan of the gold hardware, but I think it looks nice with this particular finish.
