  • My 30th Birthday Gift!!

So my 30th birthday is coming up (12/4) and my fiancé decided to give me her gift a little early. She did all of the research herself, listened to sound clips, asked questions over time to figure out my tastes, saved up the money and then she blindsided me with a surprise early gift... She got me an 8x14 Brady Jarrah ply snare with silver sparkle lacquer!!! I was truly in awe! I had no idea she was doing this! Needles to say it looks and sounds insane! I'll get some pics up soon! I'm still stunned that she did this and that I have a Brady snare!
    -Tama Granstar (12, 16, 22)
    -Yamaha 7000 Series (12, 13, 16, 22)
    -Crush Sublime E3 (10, 12, 14, 14sn, 16, 22)
    -An array of snares
    -An array of cymbals

That looks great. I've never seen a Brady in a non-natural finish.

I've seen a black sparkle one and a white lacquer one before. I love the look, feel and sound of this drum!

Better hold on to that snare for life (and your fiance) - it'll be really hard to find Brady drums from now on.

I have one of those. They do sound nice.
                          Nice GF.
However, if you marry her she will likely ask you to stop playing.
Just a word to the wise.
Check out my incomplete snare drum collection thread. I like it and think it is quite charming. :)
