Looks awesome. Is the price a true reflection of it's worth? Wouldn't see a specimen like that down these here parts.

Looks very nice and unique. If it is truly as unique as stated, it may be worth that price, but personally that's just a little too high for me for any snare. Something that nice I would hate to play on too much, I'd almost be afraid to play it. But Craviottos are nice snares for sure.

It looks amazing, but there's no way I could justify spending that much on just 1 snare when I could use that money on multiple other things like complete kits. Granted if money was no option and I had the extra cash to burn why not. Seems to be a bit more of a collectors item to show off than to actually play on a regular basis. Just my opinion.

The guy the seller mentioned Steve Maxwell is well known for carrying Craviotto's and other high priced antique snares. 2K for a snare is steep.K3ith R

Nice drum. I'm sure it's amazing. But 2K? There are Craviotto's that I'd like to own and none if them are 2K. I guess you'd have to ask yourself if it's worth it and what you plan on doing with it. Collecting is cool. I collect but the most I'd spend probably is $800-1000 max.Pearl Reference #103 Piano Black

I heard a bird's eye maple Craviotto in Fork's Drum Closet once. I'm not gonna lie if I had the dough, I would have dropped it in an instant. It was the nicest snare I've ever heard...and it was 2600 bucks...-~=Joey=~-

The speciality stuff like this usually is more expensive, but that's a lot for even a crav snare. I own one, and I don't think you are paying for any extra sonic benefit as much as the just the "special edition" type deal. You can get one of the crav metal drums for less than that.

*Edit: Actually, there is no reason for me to laugh, but I did anyway. Therefore my post stands.-~=Joey=~-
