I've owned or played all of JNDCs metal snares and they are all magical. Start with the TKO (Tim Kae Original) its the most universal and in the pocket snare. The TKO is my favorite by some margin as its just such a sweet and agreeable tone.
FS: 6.5x14 Craviotto mahogany, 8 lugs, 30deg edges, minty. $500+ship.

The TKO is my all time favorite drum. Check out Joyful Noise's Facebook page. Curt posted pics of a new batch of TKOs. These have a tiger stripe type finish. They're awesome.

I definitely thought they presented the best tuning range. It sounds like it could answer all of my brass snare needs.

Woah... Killer sound and a unique finish. That can't be beat! I really do believe they have the best finishes for metal snares as well. It's not standard, which is probably why I love it so much. Bottom line though, they sound fantastic.
I love when my cymbals talk dirty to me.

Nice. My studio bronze is the best drum I have ever heard. I'm really lusting after one of his kits now. Though I wouldn't say no to a snare either.
I'm using my Christmas avatar until they are the correct size.
