  • my new (discontinued) snare

Hey guy, here is my new snare... I still haven't tried it yet but I can't wait!

In it's box... What is it?

    Resonant side...

    Here it is! Classy hoops!

Found a brand new Sensitone Elite Aluminum (14x6.5)!
My previous Ludwig kit; Pearl Sensitone Aluminum , Pork Pie, Black Panther and Crush snares.
DW 5000, Pearl modded P-102, P-120P & P-2002B. IC Powerglide. Many cymbals from the big 3.
Tiny pic of my old cymbal setup.

Can't go wrong with an Aluminum snare, the Sensitones are excellent.... A well built version of the Acro. (like the Miata is to the MG)
FS: 6.5x14 Craviotto mahogany, 8 lugs, 30deg edges, minty. $500+ship.

Great find. That drum is a 3 to 6 month wait last time I check... enjoy it. Looks awesome.

Tried it tonight. Great sounding snare, when playing, its sounds like a pre recorded snare! Really easy to tune too, it was high and sounded good, I tuned it down a little in less than 5 min with pretty good results. I can say I'm really happy with my 2 metal snares: this one and my Pork Pie BOB!

Really good stuff at a low price.

Where did you get it from? The 6.5" deep models are hard to come by. I managed to score a 5"x14" right after they were discontinued.

LOL, except that my acros don't break down constantly. Though I appreciate your analogy.

Same here. My Acros and Supras keep on despite my hammering away on them.

The 6.5" Alum Sensi is nice. I really want to try one out.
