I don't know that I have a true go to, as I force myself to play all of my snares.

I play my saturn at home with a side snare- currently the morgan rose
I play my yammy brass with one band, my pearl copper with another
and the piccolo at smaller venues and when I really need a tight poppy snare.

but I guess if I were going to pick one it would be the free floater so here it sits front and center.

3rd Gen 5x14 Maple FF. I'm not sure it's my favourite snare, but it certainly gets the most gigging use. Great drum.
