  • I just bought a Pearl Masters Custom!

I haven't had much success on ebay because frankly people pay too much for things. But finally I won a snare I've been wanting for awhile, and I think I got a pretty awesome deal on it. Sorry if I outbid anyone. My 13x3 maple snare is now available.

Obviously it needs a new head, what do you guys recommend for it?

I'm going for a nice crack with a little more "body". But I do play a lot of ghost notes so nothing too thick. I tried out the Genera HD Dry and it didn't have enough bounce, if that makes sense. I'll probably want to stay with a single ply.

You should try the genera dry. It's only one ply.
