  • What's Your Favorite Of My Snares?

I'm bored and I never have really discussed my snares. I have 6 snares, but one snare is a no-named snare so I really can't put that up for voting.

I switch between all 6 depending on the situation. Of course it is all personal taste and opinions, but i just hink it would be kind of cool

I don't have any pics of the PDP, Gretsch, Export or No Name snare since I haven't haven't played a gig with them where pictures were taken. I'm currently using my PDP as my Main snare for my Mainstream cover band at the moment, but like I said no available pics.

None of those really stand out to me. I'd sell a bunch of them and get one really nice snare drum, something along the lines of a hand-hammered Gretsch, a Sonor, a Yamaha Signature, Ludwig Black Beauty, Custom Solid or Stave snare, Brady, Odery or one of the less common Mapex Black Panthers.

Agreed, although i'd probably hang onto the Melody Master...

I do love my Melody master...

but I love love the Acrylic and VP snares as well. All three are so diffrent from one another it's great to have the availability of diffrent sounds.

The Gretsch snare is a perfect practice snare, but thats about it.

The other two well they are cheap snares obviously. I might trade in those two and the Gretsch so a new snare at some point. I would love to have something like a Black Beauty or a Black Panther or something cool like that. But I'm not really sure what sound I'd be going for. I have a big maple snare, a Hammered steel picalo and a perfect sounding acrylic.

Anything yuou guys could reccomend would be awesome. (Obviously I was joking about the last option in the voting.. All I ever hear about is the JJ snare.)

In all honesty. I don't use the no name snare or the Export. I'd like to think that there would be a perfect situation where they ould be needed but I don't know if there will be.

I like the Vinnie Paul snare. I hate the finish, but I'm a fan of 14x8 snares.
