Wow, havent seen this thread in a while, yeah man the snare is a beaut!

I tuned it quite low today just to mess around with it, and it was so fat sounding, but still loud as hell, with nice shell ring but controlled overtone!

I've a fair few gigs with this now, and sound tech's we're blown away by the volume!! I've had some really great comments about this drum and even been asked to hold it up on stage, haha! (Which wasn't easy!)

When you get the dough you probably will still not get one from potyondi considering hes infamous for being a scam artist these days. Second hand maybe but I dont actually know of anyone owning any kind of bronze or bell brass snare from him. If I were you I would try to own one from Tama seeing as they are the ones who started the whole bell brass appeal like Ludwig started the black beauty.

Im trying to make up the pieces with the DW, and the Tama BB hoops, and trick snare strainer and Puresounds, lol....just got my BB hoops to come next week!!

I think you are better off with your dw and tama hoop combo... the Tama is extra ugly with those huge larve style lugs... the 2-sided dw turret with fine pitch are the way to go.....

looks like a 14x6. I highly doubt that's 6,5 because DW doesnt works with "half" sizes in depth as far as i know in metal snares.
