Just to let everyone know that a Noble and cooley/zildjian 380th anniversary snare drum is on ebay.

Probably one of the most rare/collectable snare drums that exist!

    Heres the link

It's already been posted but thanks anyway. That is a sick snare and the owner is pretty nuts to sell it. I think it'll be worth a fortune in a couple of years (if it isn't already). Awesome looking snare (never heard it).

            Oh sorry,

The poster also advertised this in the general forum when he put the snare on eBay, I explained it was too high back then and what you said (the fact that they can be found in america much cheaper but still arn't sought after) reinforces that.

No problem - I can see how you could think that, sorry.

I'm really surprised no one had picked that snare up in Japan, it seems to me Japan has quite large number of drummers willing to pay for high end/collectable drums.

yeah its true, but also its the fact that its secondhand(although NEVER used) and japanese culture is more towards looking forward rather than back, and i believe this went into their lifestyle, which is why you will never see a japanese person with something outdated, except ofcourse antique dealers(and this is good for me too cuz im raising money now to get it!)oh also i love ure custom snare is SEX!

I can understand that, the Noble and Cooley is in that twilight area where it isn't new or old enough to be antique yet. You must have some great second hand deals out there (as well as the noble and cooley, it works out as £330)

Im glad you like my snare

Sounds much like any other cast bronze snare really! I think the 380th edition drums are a wee bit ugly in comparison the the earlier N&C/Zildjian snares, and they certainly don't seem to be as much in demand. They're fairly easy to find new/secondhand now.
