    If it's 3mm thick brass it can't be rolled, therefore cast, will cost a fortune, especially with vents.. I think I saw a photo of the price tag and it was about 1300-1500 $.

    Good combination of his 3mm bell brass and vented maple snare. Good idea Abe, and hope that Tama decide to follow into a line of vented snares 😄

      $1231 on the tag. I wonder if that is the MSRP or the MAP. I took a look through the new Tama catalogs and didn't see it.

        ...the photo above shows the list price is $1,231.00.

        Edit: ****** Opus, you've got a quick draw there. It's even tough to find on the Tama site as it's not listed under the sig snares. I had to specifically Goggle search it.

          Bummer - Googling seems to get the same results as Goggling.

          I wonder why the snare made NAMM but not the catalogs?

          I'm curious as to the results of this snare. OCDP's 20+ ply maple vented at least had the accompanying warmth of the maple. I know brass is a warmer metal, but it's still metal.

            Well, Deftones is an alt metal band.

              I read something like Tama is only making a handful of them. I'll try to find it.

                    Potentially 65 drums worldwide, but Tama's US contingent doesn't really know anything about it.

                      <3 Deftones. Abe is a great player and his drums always sound amazing. I never even woulda guessed OCDP, honestly. For whatever reason I always thought Tama, since that is what he plays now.

                      That sig snare is insane. I want it.
                      pls no bully ;w;

                        Again, super thread bump.

                        $899 is still cheaper than the OCDP bell brass snare...

                          It's rolled not cast. That vid has only just gone up on the Tama site, but I believe that Tama have no more to sell, what is in the shops is all there is.
