How many 16" Session Custom toms were built in 2002-2003 in Cranberry Fade??

I've been wanting to add a 16" Session Custom floor tom to my 2002-2003 Cranberry Fade set
but I haven't seen one for sale in two years of looking.
Just wondering: How many 16" (and 8" for that matter) toms in this color were made in that year?

Short answer, probably a couple hundred give or take, not to count 16" floor toms that were part of SMX shell packs.

They are discontinued now and the factory will no longer supply, so your only real options are to check secondary sales or auction sites such as eBay, reverb.com or local craigslist to see sellers listing used or NIB items.

That's what I've been doing, checking eBay, Reverb, Craigslist, etc, since I bought my 4-pc set two years ago.
Actually a couple hundred gives me a pretty good chance of eventually finding one.
I understand they don't come up often, but I'm happy to bide my time and wait for the right one to come along!

One will pop up, I've seen them from time to time in cranberry fade and marine blue fade.

You might want to consider putting back enough to purchase a whole kit if one comes along. Some people aren’t willing to part their drums out. If you have the money set aside and a kit comes along with the 16” Tom, you can buy the whole thing and sell the extra drums off to recoup some of the cost. If you do it right, you could potentially get the 16” for free if you’re willing to put in the time.
