Just purchased my first Pearl: blue SSC. I then bought a red Midtown. I haven't been able to play either yet due to work, but we shall see. I already possess a Tama Superstar Classic and found that it dissolves kidney stones.
Anyway, I have no divided loyalties. Pearl offered good value with a lifetime warranty. I also can't think of any other company that brands their products as well, either through teaching young drummers or even something modest like a complementary stick bag. It's a nice touch and a great way to build your customer base. Harley- Davidson does the same (look at this forum).
