A few weeks ago I asked info about a Pearl MCX, but in the end I got a used Session.
I think it's from the end of 80's or beginnig of 90's, 12 13 with ISS, 16x16 and 22x16.
I bought it from a closing recording studio via a friend of mine, so a dry decent place, and the shells are in great shape, besides a few aestethics marks after 30+ years.
I will post some pics and ask for your knowledge.
1) Is it lacquered or Wrapped? There is anything I can do for dents and marks? For example sand paper and some kind of clear coating ?
2) Do you suggest anything on the inside for the aging wood? Some kind of oil?
3) Any idea of the Year?
4) I'n not good at spotting woods, Toms have a lot of "clear" wood (maple) inside a sandwich of (asian) mahogany, with a super thin maple (?) layer inside. Bass drum appears to have a smaller maple layer and a lot of mahogany, any insights on the shell composition would be great.
Thank you.
