Gong drum from that angle looks sick. Definitely made the right decision with the finish and sizes.

What comes to the debate between Antique Crimson Burst and Black Halo Glitter, my vote goes to the Antique Crimson. Having owned a set of Masterworks in Comet Sparkle, which is pretty much the same as Black Halo Glitter, I would never choose that finish again. I got bored with it so quick cause it popped too much and was more tacky than classy. Just my two cents.

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I’m a bit concerned that it’ll be too much too, but the pictures make the glitter more subtle than is probably is.

On the 'covered/wrapped' gong drums yes, on the lacquer, I believe it should be a lacquer hoop.

Man....that does look great! I almost got that due to it being the only option in stock at the time, BUT i found a nicotine pearl and I love it.

I know I’m late to the party.

Initially I was going for Nicotine White Pearl STS kit, but when I saw a YT clip of #316 Black halo glitter I was floored.
For one, I love Mardi Gras and Black Galaxy, and this finish was along the same lines.
Second, it’s a lacquered finish and I’m a sucker for that type of thing.

Well here’s my kit, but it’s funny how life works, a few months after I opened the boxes for this kit, I snagged a Rogers Holiday in Mardi Gras.
