Haven’t logged in for many years but finally did, and for a good reason... I’m rejoining the Pearl family!
Since I last posted I’ve been through two sets of Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maples, Jade Green Sparkle and Polar White, but at the end of last year I totally lost my will to play. My band wasn’t as active as it used to and finally the long Finnish winter took its toll and I decided a break was needed. I started selling my gear, downsizing as much as I dared to, and now eight months later I’m finally ready to press the restart button!
Again I contacted my trusted dealer looking for something new but inexpensive to spark my interest. Ever since I had my Masterworks I had always wanted a Gong Drum and decided that now after 10 years I’m finally going to get one! First I thought Crystal Beat might do the trick but despite offering Rocket Toms and Concert Toms, a Gong Drum wasn’t available. What a bummer! That’s when I saw a picture of a Nicotine White Marine Pearl Session Studio Select Gong Drum and without any hesitation placed the order! Now all I must do is wait. I should be getting the main part of the kit in around two weeks but the 14” Floor Tom and the Gong Drum will take 4-6 months.

A second kick and a 14”x8” snare will be added later in the future if I still feel like I need them.
Feels good to back here with you good people! Can’t wait to get my hands on some awesome Pearls once again!

lets hope that is true! Had a discussion about the second kick too and that might be happening sooner than I anticipated
