So I decided to put a tom mount on the 18X16 kick that I converted from a floor tom and here she is! I plan to use this set up for rehearsals and smaller venues (if I ever play out again, lol) This is set up with my 6.5X14 Session snare, the 10X10 tom and 14X12 floor. I gotta say, the whole set up sounds WAYYY bigger than it looks! I'm very happy and even a little impressed at just how good this kick sounds. Actually ALL the drums sound great and I could actually see myself using it as a main kit (if you could believe that). Great low end punch for such a small drum! Eventually I'd also like to buy another set of lightweight hardware dedicated specifically for this set and add a set of Dream or Wuhan cymbals.

Thanks Eric. The nice thing about the Pearl hardware is it's so adaptable for different mounting options too. For instance if I decide I want to use 2 toms on the kick instead, I just simply hook up the double tom bracket to the single post and rock it THAT way.
