Hi guys i was just curious i cant seem to find an answer .. Can you buy sessions without hardware?

because i am thinking of slowly upgrading all my hardware on my shotty begginner kit and then buy a shell pack in the sbx line..

Normaly you just buy a sessions without any hardwarre, just the tom hardware,( i hope you know what I mean^^)
It´s just a shellpack

You going to Billy Hydes? If so usaully they package the shell set with all 1000 serries hardware and a Sensitone Snare.

Normally sessions are sold with 4 drums and the mounts for toms.

zildjian_army, I bought my kit at Billy Hydes (Melbourne) & all I ordered was the shells... so I would say YES to your question.

Don't know much But I think you can order the Sessions shell pack and leave the hardware for later...and it's cheaper than a full kit

Not that simple, unfortunately. There is only a couple of ways you can order JUST the shells, from my experience (when buying from an Australian retailers i mean). One way is to try and order the pack that comes with a virgin bass drum. This pack has a 16X16 floor tom and is a 4 piece kit if i remember rightly... But dont quote me! The other way is to order the drums individually.

Either way you'll end up paying a squillion dollars more considering you can get the kit with hardware and a snare and sell what you dont want.

If this confuses the situation, it's probably because it's confusing.

After exploring some options with your retailer he might be able to separate items for you and give you just the shells, but, the way i see it, it will never be as cost-effective as getting a 5 piece kit with over 1000$ worth of hardware.
Let me know how you go, it will be interesting to see what you come up with.

Exports come with 800 series hardware and Sessions come with 1000 series hardware.
