My new SBX Blue Burst

Hey Guys and Gals,
After 9 years of using a Pearl Export I finally upgraded my kit to an SBX. I thought it's about time I upgraded lol. I've attached some before and after pics showing my old and new kit. I've only managed to play it once after re-skinning and tuning the kit and it sounds thunderous! Bass drum is PHAT! haha. Enjoy...

Hey, thanks for the compliments.
I got the kit from a local drum store called Drummerswarehouse. It was ordered from Melbourne. The other tom should be arriving in 3 weeks as stated by the salesperson (fingers crossed) I'll put updated pics up when it arrives

Hey man, welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new SBX. The Blue Burst is a great finish. How do you like the Evans EC 2`s? I recently put those on my SMX and they sound awesome. The 16x13 is a great choice to finish up your kit. Enjoy your new kit!

This is the first time i've tried the EC2's...gave a good wack today...sounded tight...give the toms a really sustainable sound. Alot better then the over resonating pro tones that came with the kit. Cheers..

Hey thanks, your kit looks amazing too. Tobacco burst was my second choice for colour too. You got the specs right...but i'm getting a 16x13" tom in 3 weeks to complete the setup. Check out my signature...has the full specs of my kit.

The 13x16 tom should look great with your other hanging floor tom. I'm getting A 16x16 floot tom as well, and a 7x8 tom. I can't wait

Yeah with my old configuration I had my 16" floor tom even further away from my 12" so I'm kinda used to that distance. There isn't much room for error because I have a bit of the ride sitting on top of the 14" tom. Originaly i didn't I had the 10 and 12 closer to the 14 which makes it easier for flowing roles but then i found that the 10 and 12 aren't as close to the snare drum which makes things a bit harder. It really is trial and error...
