How would you prevent the spike on the bass drum legs from going through carpet and damaging a wooden floor? Is this likely? I have not used my kit much yet but it will eventually sit on carpet on a wooden floor

Very likely depending on the thickness of the rug. I'd put down some rubber matting underneath the rug. -

That would work, a square of plywood with carpet stuck to it on one side. Plywood should be reasonably thick say 1/2" at least, then carpet side down and spike goes into the plywood?Originally posted by DrumFu View PostPearl Prestige Session Select SRX 1998 in black mist
