Oh man I should of came here before making my thread... In terms of sound how deep is your 18 and 16in floor toms sounding? The kits all look amazing

Edit: I have two Maple kits already.. One DW Design and the Gretsch Catalina Maple (it has a 30 degree bearing edge)

I want a heavy sound... I got Evans EC2 batters and EC reso's on the Catalina since I have 3 rack toms and 2 floor toms... But the 14 just doesn't sound deep enough and I cant find an 18in catalina floor tom... I've got g2 coated heads I'm going to try with ghe clear EC reso's... But this kit just spoke to me. I love the one up 2 down... Ive just never heard or owned a kit made of popular wood

2 years late, but here's my Wine Red Rock config. With the Paiste cymbals, I would gig with it anywhere!Click image for larger version

It's never too late. Love it, especially that you're still sticking with one up and two down.
